Marfo and Frigilunch join forces

On 30 December 2016, Marfo Food Group from Lelystad (NL) and Frigilunch N.V. from Veurne (BE) have completed their negotiations regarding the merger of both businesses. Frigilunch will therefore become part of Marfo Food Group Holding.

According to Arnold Zuidgeest, director of Marfo, the combined business will be more innovative and decisive in the food sector: “With this merger, we expand the number of segments in which we operate and we strengthen our position in the prepared meals market.”

Director of Frigilunch, Anthony Botelberge: “Both companies excel in unique culinary knowledge and the highest standards in the field of food safety. With this merger, we are able to share knowledge and achieve powerful synergy advantages.”

Marfo and Frigilunch both continue to operate independently with their own brand. The new board will consist of Arnold Zuidgeest (CEO) and Anthony Botelberge (EVP), both statutory.
