Optima Cycles takes the next step in expanding its product portfolio of innovative and sustainable mobility solutions with the acquisition of cargo bike manufacturer Dolly Bikes.
Since 2021, Optima Cycles has been part of the portfolio of Bolster Investment Partners. The company specializes in the design, production, and distribution of high-quality electric cargo bikes and e-bikes, known for its brands Dutch ID and Lovens. With the acquisition of Dolly Bikes, Optima Cycles strengthens its leading position in the rapidly growing market for electric cargo bikes, enabling Optima to provide customers with an even broader selection of innovative and sustainable mobility solutions.
Founded in 2012, Dolly Bikes is a Dutch company specializing in electric cargo bikes. The company has built a solid reputation in the cargo bike market thanks to its innovative e-commerce strategy, delivering directly to consumers. The acquisition will allow Dolly to benefit from Optima’s large European network.
