Bolster sells stake in ORMIT

After eight years of active ownership, Bolster Investment Partners and co-shareholder TIIN Capital have sold their stake in ORMIT to a new shareholder, HR investment group Pyramid. ORMIT, a specialist in traineeships, will continue its growth as an independent company within the Pyramid group as of October the 1st.  Alongside Pyramid the management of ORMIT reinvested and acquired a 25% stake.

In 2010, Bolster Investment Partners acquired a 31% stake in the fast-growing specialist in traineeships. Since then parties have successfully expanded the business in the Netherlands and Belgium. With its unique positioning and by anticipating changing market dynamics, ORMIT has strengthened its leading position in the market for recruitment, retention, and development of talent. This leading position is evidenced by a customer base with large international companies.

Following a partnership of eight years, the sale of ORMIT is in line with Bolster’s long-term investment horizon, that is focused on sustainable value creation by supporting businesses to pursue their growth strategy. Hetty van Ee, managing director of ORMIT Group, explains: “Bolster Investment Partners has always supported us in realizing our ‘best place to work’ principle, which is the basis of our positioning and long-term success. This approach sometimes requires a different way of decision making compared to focusing solely on financial motives. Providing space for entrepreneurship while supporting management with good advice, is typical for Bolster as a shareholder.”

Mark van Rijn of Bolster Investment Partners explains: “the success of our partnership is based on the focus on the business model and on quality. Our investment horizon enables us to have a long-term focus. We continued to do so under challenging market circumstances, such that both the company and its shareholders were able to reap the benefits when the economy recovered. With its new shareholder Pyramid that also operates a long-term investment horizon, ORMIT is in a good position to enter the next phase. All stakeholders can be proud of this transaction.”

About ORMIT
ORMIT is a specialist in traineeships. ORMIT makes talents and organizations more successful by finding, developing and connecting unique talents. These top talents participate in a 2 year ORMIT-traineeship, where they are stimulated to get the best out of themselves and develop their personal leadership skills. After completion of the traineeship, most talents join the participating organizations.

From the start in 1994 until the management buy-out in 2010, ORMIT was a subsidiary of Ordina N.V. In recent years, ORMIT has experienced significant growth, partly driven by the increased search for talent and mismatch on the labour market.
