Bolster Investment Partners appoints Managing Partner and three Partners as next step in joint growth
Investment firm Bolster Investment Partners announces a new step in the development of its team: Michiel van Wissen has been appointed Managing Partner; Hanneke Modderman, Robbert van Kampen and Joost van der Sluis have been promoted to Partner. These appointments mark the next phase in Bolster’s growth.
Continued growth thanks to successful partnership
Since its founding in 2017, Bolster has experienced significant growth in assets under management, the size of its portfolio, and in its active involvement in creating value for its portfolio companies. The promotions of Michiel, Hanneke, Robbert and Joost are a logical next step in the joint growth and increase the clout for the future. Moreover, the appointments are in line with Bolster’s vision to train its own colleagues and give them opportunities to develop further.
Michiel is a co-founder of Bolster and was appointed Managing Partner on July 1st. He has been involved with Bolster and its predecessor Van Lanschot Participaties for over eighteen years. With his in-depth knowledge of the investment profession and his connecting qualities, he brings content and relationship together naturally. “Given Michiel’s great added value for both Bolster and our companies, this step is a logical continuation of our many years of successful cooperation,” said Managing Partner Mark van Rijn.
Hanneke, Robbert and Joost have been promoted to Partner as of July 1st. “We are extremely proud that three colleagues, who have been involved with Bolster since its inception, are now taking this step,” says Managing Partner Joost Bakhuizen. “Their development shows how we like to grow: by continuously investing in personal development, mutual cooperation and the development of Bolster across the board.”
Mark also emphasizes the importance of this move: “Sharing responsibilities more broadly creates room for even greater commitment to our investments and strengthens our clout for realizing new investments, training colleagues and continuing to grow Bolster.”
Diverse team with unique qualities
In addition to generating deal flow, leading purchases, sale transactions and managing investments, the three new Partners each add their own vision, knowledge and experience.
Hanneke stands out for her ability to connect and realize impact, both internally and externally. From this strength, combined with her experience in strategy development, Hanneke has a leading role within Bolster in organizational development and further professionalizing Investor Relations.
Robbert has been active in the investment profession for fourteen years and has a lot of experience and a large network. Thanks to his commerciality and drive he is the driving force behind several new business initiatives within Bolster. Robbert is also a board member of the Dutch Association of Venture Capital Companies (NVP).
Joost characterizes himself by combining sharp analyses with a curious and solution-oriented approach. His background in aerospace engineering and econometrics enables him to get to the bottom of investment issues and take value creation at the Bolster companies to the next level.
